The Bookmark was established in 1994 by Eric Vardy a retired Police Inspector in Leicestershire and having already got strong roots in community life want to take this into his business. Eric soon found his feet and was a Town Councillor in the past and went on to set up the Chamber of Trade for Syston, indeed the chamber has a good representation in the town and if anyone want to know more then to drop in to see him.
