Wed 21st April, 2010 - 5pm to 7:30pm
The Olde Barn Hotel, Marston, Nr Grantham
The UK boasts the East Midlands region as it’s fastest-growing for food manufacturing, producing around 15.1% of the nation’s food and drink. The sector is anticipated to continue growing and is instrumental in the region’s aim of creating a dynamic region with innovative businesses competing successfully in a global economy. Come along to emita’s next seminar on Wednesday 21 April to explore the export potential of food and drink from the region and to unwrap the opportunities this sector holds for East Midlands businesses wishing to export for the first time or to develop into new markets.
Join us for the evening and you will:
- Hear about market value, percentage growth and forecasts for overseas markets;
- Gain advice on the key principles of food and drink exporting, where to start, market prioritisation and different routes to market;
- Grasp an understanding of the Chinese food and drink sector, together with recommendations on how to enter this dynamic market and what you need to be aware of when trading there;
- Learn from the experiences of a local company which has already achieved success in a number of overseas markets.
The event will commence with registration and light refreshments from 5.00 pm. The presentations will begin at 5.30 pm and the evening will draw to a close at 7.30 pm followed by a networking buffet which will showcase produce and specialities from our region.
