Health and Safety at Local Authority Enforced Premises
Charnwood Borough Council's Environmental Health Services aims to provide a safe and healthy environment for people at work. We enforce health and safety legislation in certain types of work places in the Borough - currently over 2,400 premises.
We:
- Inspect workplaces
- Investigate accidents and cases of ill health
- Enforce good standards, usually by providing advice, but sometimes by ordering improvements to be
- Made and, if necessary, by prosecution
- Distribute health and safety information (e.g. leaflets and regular newsletters)
- Answer queries

- If you, as an employee, think your employer is exposing you to risks or is not carrying out legal duties, and you have pointed this out without getting a satisfactory response

Nook Corner is a combined Gift, Gallery and Coffee Shop located in the centre of Anstey in one of the oldest buildings in the village. A2P - Public Procurement Seminar
The Access to Public Procurement Project would like to offer you the opportunity to take part in their next seminar looking at how strong Leadership and Management skills can help you become a better supplier to the Public Sector.
You will be able to hear from someone with public sector experience on how you can advance your company.
