  • Loughborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce
    Loughborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce is a thriving active organisation comprising of many businesses of every size from small retailers to international companies.

  • LATI
    LATI is a networking and support organisation for technology and knowledge based organisations and individuals with innovative ideas. Whilst originally it was set up just for companies in Charnwood and Loughborough University, it has now been given the remit to cover the whole county. Therefore all three universities are involved and any company in Leicestershire may join. It organises visits to view developments in a wide range of fields - see web site for more details.

    Loughborough Enterprise Club (LEC) is a free networking and support organisation aimed at encouraging innovation and growth in the region
  • SMART Club
    SmartClub is a network hosted by the Business Investment Team at emda twice a year. The event is aimed at East Midlands companies that are developing innovative technologies and have either secured a Grant for Research and Development (GRD), are in the process of applying or are thinking about applying. SmartClub aims to provide attendees with valuable information and networking opportunities with like-minded innovative companies and support organisations.   • East Midlands Innovation
    This is the umbrella organisation that promotes innovation in the region and oversees the four sectoral innovation networks (i-Nets), each of which hold networking events Discussions are underway about the possibility of providing a 5th i-Net to cover innovative businesses that do not fit into these 4 categories. East Midlands Innovation also organises the annual i-Festival that celebrates innovation in the region.

  • LeicestHER Day
    The LeicestHERday Trust is an umbrella organisation formed to give an equal voiceto all women and enhance the community at large by enhancing women's life experiences. LeicestHERday Trust is the home of the International Women's Day.
  • Women In Rural Enterprise supports women in rural business by offering members a package of practical business services including: WiRE Local Network Groups which offer the chance to network and do business with like-minded women, a glossy magazine, monthly e-newsletters and countless marketing opportunities.

Social Enterprise

  • CaSE-da
    CaSE-da stands for Co-operative and Social Enterprise Development Agency (formerly known as LCCDA; Leicester & County Co-operative Development Agency). Charnwood Borough Council works with CaSE-da to administer social enterprise grants within the Borough. CaSE-da is itself a co-operative and all its advisers are members of the Institute of Business Advisers. It has been helping local people to set up social enterprises and other forms of democratic business since 1982 and is now associated with over 120 social enterprises across the region.
